Mahmoud Darwish's translator is honoured

The translator of the late Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish's collection The Butterfly's Burden has won the Saif Ghobash-Banipal Prize for literary translation from Arabic. Fady Joudah, a Palestinian American poet, practising doctor and poetry translator, will be presented with the £2,000 prize on September 29. Darwish died last week after complications following heart surgery in the US. [Read the full article]
